Collected from the weathered brick buildings of Calgary's Alyth rail yard, these small fragments of paint have spent decades accumulating colour, texture, and history. What began as a habit of picking up interesting pieces gradually became an exercise in collecting, arranging, and making something new from what was already there. Part bricolage, part preservation, Brickolage reflects my interest in ordinary objects, the memories we attach to them, and our instinct to hold onto things that others might overlook.
